Husband-wife scuffle leads to suicide

A father of three children shot himself dead over financial reasons in Lytton Road police precincts on Thursday. The deceased was identified as 30-years-old Javed Akbar, a resident of Sham Nagar Road Chauburji. According to details, Javed, who was an employee of a private company, had domestic issues with his wife over low income. The deceased had a verbal clash with his wife after which he shot himself dead.
NURSE DIES MYSTERIOUSLY: A 28-years-old nurse died under mysterious circumstances in Ravi Road police precincts on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Atia daughter of a laborer Riaz and resident of Ravi Road. According to details, the deceased who was a nurse in Children Hospital was brought to a local hospital after falling unconscious at home but doctors announced her dead. The deceased, according to hospital sources, died of intoxication however the family refused postmortem.
FIRE BURNS TWO: Two persons were injured while valuables worth millions were reduced to ashes in three different fire incidents in the city on Thursday. In all three incidents, fire broke out due to short circuiting of electricity wires. According to details, fire erupted in house of Fareed in Baba Azam Chowk Ichra. The neighbors, seeing flames, informed Rescue 1122. Two of the family members received minor burn injuries and were administered medical aid at the spot by rescuers. In another incident, fire broke out due to short circuit of a mechanical tandoor in Bakar Mandi Area. Meanwhile, a junkyard also came under fire in the near MAO College causing damage of thousands of rupees.
YOUTH SHOT DEAD: A youth was shot dead in an alleged clash over a girl with a friend in Misri Shah Police limits on Thursday. The deceased was identified as 22-years-old Muhammad Qasim a resident of Ghoray Shah. According to the police, the deceased had a verbal clash with a friend Husnain a week ago, who developed grudges against Qasim despite reconciliation by mutual friends. On the day of the incident, Qasim was sitting in a shop near his home when accused Husnain came with some unidentified persons in a van and motorcycles and opened indiscriminate fire.
Qasim sustained serious bullet injuries and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
