The Punjab Text Book Board (PTBB) completed fifty years since its creation in 1962 on Monday. Text Book Board Chairman Sheikh Azhar Ahmad inaugurated the celebrations in the PTBB office and congratulated its employees saying it was a memorable day for him. He said when he assumed office last year the timely publication of text books was the biggest challenge before him, which he accomplished with his team’s support.
He said the text books to be distributed in public schools for the 2012-13 session were being published and that the preparation of text books for private schools was also underway. He stated that the PTBB distributed free booklets to create awareness about the recent dengue epidemic. Certificates and prizes were awarded to employees and a cultural show presented following the speech of the PTBB Chairman.
