LAHORE – Pakistan star all-rounder Abdul RAzzaq, who is yet to make an appearance in the Indian Premier League, feels disappointed over the exclusion of the Pakistan players from the tournament.
The IPL auction for the IV edition is to take place today without the inclusion of the Pakistan players. Although many Pakistan players played in the inaugural edition but Razzaq is yet to try his luck in the cash-rich tournament as he was associated with the unofficial Indian Cricket League in 2008.
After the inaugural IPL, the Pakistan cricketers were ignored or snubbed in different ways for the last two years because of diplomatic tensions between the two nations. “It is disappointing because obviously one would like to be part of such a major event. The tournament is a great platform to compete and play alongside the world’s top players.
