Parliamentary leader of the MQM in the National Assembly Dr Farooq Sattar on Thursday said his party will not sever ties with the coalition government.
Talking to a private television channel, he said his party does not want a confrontation among the national institutions.
It should be mentioned here that a vital session of the National Assembly will be held today to seek vote of confidence for President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
The federal cabinet decided yesterday that coalition partners will express solidarity with the government amidst the present political crisis which sees the government mired in multiple crises including Memogate scandal and a recent standoff with the military leadership.
