Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA, Mian Azeem Khan Daultana, was killed in a road accident, his family said on Tuesday. Daultana was on his way to Vehari when his car ran off the road and flipped over on Kot Wali Bridge near Luddan. His driver died on the spot, while, Daultana succumbed to his injuries while he was being rushed to the hospital.
Daultana was a nephew to Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Tehmina Daultana. He was also parliamentary secretary for information & broadcasting. According to sources in the family, he was due to get married in two weeks. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and other ministers and politicians condoled with the family.
