Snowfall in different parts of the country sent chilly winds at 5 km/h to the metropolitan on Saturday, which is expected to increase on Sunday, met office has said, adding that the year’s first rainfall will also result in a further dip in mercury.
“The temperature may go sub-zero on Sunday, maybe as low as -1 degree Celsius also, and more rain is also expected,” an official said, adding that the winds will not be going any where for the coming few days and will keep the fog out. “The coming days shall remain cloudy so watch out for mild rainfall”, he added. The maximum recorded temperature in Lahore on Saturday was 12 degree Celsius while minimum was reported to be 1 degree Celsius.
