Ayla Malik meets Imran, announces joining PTI

Former parliamentarian and niece of former president Sardar Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, Ayla Malik, on Thursday called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and after a detailed meeting, decided to join the PTI. Talking to Pakistan Today, Ayla said she had discussed with Imran Khan her agenda for the progress and prosperity of the people of her area and she had decided to support the struggle for change in the country. She said Imran was representing the aspirations of the 90 percent people of the country and his party’s agenda had impressed her a lot. “Imran’s commitment to the empowerment of women and the powerless people is impressing and this is why youth are joining his party with a hope that it would bring about a positive change in the country. This was also my priority and that is the reason I have joined the PTI,” she added. Ayla Malik is the sister of MNA Sumaira Malik and both are granddaughters of Nawab of Kalabagh. She had joined the Farooq Leghari-led Millat Party in 1999 and later became an MNA on Millat Party’s reserve seat for women. Ayla again served as MNA from year 2002 to 2007 and worked untiringly for the uplift of the people of Mianwali.

    • Ayala malik during musharaf ragime selected on women seat under pml q now had joined PTI

      while Sumara malik his sister who joined PML N has won the election through votes on PML Q ticket.

    • So Hina Khar and loads in PML-N.
      PML(q) fine as long as they join PPP or PML-N.

    • U fool. Its not thier fault if u are jealous and envious of feaudals. I agree some are bad but some are good as well. Nawab of Kalabagh who is thier grandfather donated for free about 7 salt mines and the historic mianwali gypsum hill as well asa cement factory and willinlgy gave up his lands in the land reforms. So what if they are in a ruling clas!!! Are u jealous???

  19. Listen up people the whole Q league is not coming to Pti…. Only the honest members left of the Q league are coming to pti. The rest are with the Chaudreys and PPP AND PMLN. The tigers and honset pious people are coming to PTI and as they are not corrupt, they have the right to do so.
