Police arrest makers of fake documents

A team of the Muslim Town Police on Friday arrested a gang of fake document makers during a raid at an office in the Central Flats.
The arrested men were identified as Muhammad Shabbir, a resident of Faisalabad and Muhammad Pervez, a resident of Haroon Abad. The police alleged that the two were involved in making fake documents, including degrees, passports and computerised national identity cards (CNICs). On Friday, a police team, led by Sub-Inspector Akhtar Hussain raided the Office # 24 in Central Flats and arrested the accused. The police started investigation after registering a case number 591/11 against both accused under section 420, 468 and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Two brothers injured: Two brothers sustained bullet wounds due to firing by their neighbour in the Shadbagh Police precincts on Friday. The injured persons were identified as Hamza and his brother Faysal. Haris, a resident of Mohalla Nazim Abad, did aerial firing in the street often, while his neighbours Hamza and Faisal had stopped him repeatedly.
On Friday, Hamza and Faysal stopped Haris from aerial firing again, over which he opened fire on them. Faysal sustained bullet injuries on his head while Hamza had been hit on his feet. They were taken to the Mayo Hospital, where Faysal’s condition was stated to be critical. The police said that Haris had also been injured during the clash and had been taken to a local hospital for medical care.
Police constable arrested after snatching car: A constable of the Elite Force along with an accomplice was held at the Gaju Matta Police picket on Friday escaping from city limits in a car snatched from the Defence area.
The police also recovered two mobile phones and two pistols from possession of the arrested men. The accused were handed over to Defence B police where a case was registered against them. According to Defence B police, Elite Force Constable Asad had snatched a car from a citizen namely Tanveer on gun point and fled to the Ferozpur Road. However, the escape of the car snatchers was informed to the exits of the city through a call on Police Emergency 15.
The policemen at the Gajju Matta exit picket identified the car and arrested the snatchers. Defence additional superintendent police (ASP) said the investigations were underway and more revelations were expected from the arrested persons.
Valuables worth Rs 7m robbed from house: Five robbers took valuables worth Rs 7 million from a house in Cavalry Ground Police precincts on Friday.
Reportedly, the robbers came to the house – located at 234, Cavalry Ground and owned by a man named Malik Abdul Rasheed – in a Toyota Corolla at 7.45pm. Four of them stormed into the house with their faces covered and held up the residents at gunpoint, demanding cash and gold ornaments. The robbers stayed in the house for 45 minutes and took with them gold ornaments, 3 LCD TVs, laptops and other valuables from the house.
