Former Punjab chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa Thursday moved the Lahore High Court by former chief minister Punjab Dost Muhammad Khosa for the registration of FIR against the father, brother and sister of Zeba Khan alias Sapna Khan to stage her kidnapping for the purpose of blackmailing him. The petition was fixed for its hearing by Justice Sheikh Najum ul Hasan on Thursday.
Seprately, the additional district and sessions judge, Shahida Saeed, has directed Race Course SHO to file a rely and parawise comments on the petition filed by Misal khan, the father of Sapna, seeking the ‘de-sealing’ of the FIR which police claimed to have registered against Khosa. Azhar Siddique, the counsel for Misal, requested the court to order the SHO concerned to give a copy of the FIR. Khosa, through his counsel Zubair Khalid, requested the court to restrain the police and Zeba’s ‘self-claimed’ father, Misal Khan, from harassing him with ‘false’ allegations and a ‘bogus’ case registered against him in the Race Course Police Station. He sought the court summon the said SHO.
Khosa’ lawyer also requested the court to issue orders for the recovery of Khosa’s ex-wife, who he said, was in the illegal custody of her family. He said it was Khosa who approached police first seeking her recovery. Khosa has made Punjab IGP, CCPO, two SHOs, Misal Khan and additional sessions judge respondents in the case.
Azhar Siddique, the counsel for Misal said the Khosa’s petition was not maintainable since after divorcing he had no right to file a case for her recovery.
