COAS clarification welcomed in democratic circles: PM

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Saturday that the statement by Army Chief Kayani was welcomed in democratic circles, a private TV reported.
The prime minister was referring to a statement by COAS in which General Kayani had dismissed speculation about a military takeover.
Prime Minister Gilani said that the season of rumours would end in March when Senate elections are scheduled.
He wished Javed Hashmi success on joining the PTI.
