A speedy truck ran over four people standing at a bus stop leaving two people dead and two injured in the Ferozwala Police precincts on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as 30-year-old Asghar and 35-year-old Nazir. According to details, a truck coming from Muridke crushed four labourers standing at the Rana Town Bus Stop in Shahdara. Two of them died at the spot while the condition of the other two was critical. The driver of the truck managed to flee while police started searching for the driver after taking the truck into custody.
ACCIDENT: A 27-year-old man died in a road accident in the Sanda Police precincts. The deceased could not be identified yet. According to police, the deceased was going somewhere on his motorcycle when his bike collided with some passer-by near the Sanda Bus Stop. As a result, the motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital by Rescue 1122 where he succumbed to his injuries. Police shifted the body to the city morgue and started searching for the heirs of the deceased.
ARRESTED: The Nishtar Colony Police arrested two accused of the Kaka Gang involved in street crimes. The arrested were identified as Fiaz alias Kaka (ringleader) and his accomplice Awais. Two motorcycles, cellular phones and illicit weapons were recovered from their possession. During initial interrogation, the accused confessed involvement in 21 crimes in different areas of the city.
