The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad finally announced Tuesday the results for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Supplementary examination, which was held in September 2011 with overall 34 percent passing percentage.
According to results announced by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education controller, as many as 7,961 students appeared in exams, out of whom, 2731 students were declared successful. In Humanities Group, 2,564 students, both boy and girls, appeared in the examination, out of them, 625 were passed with 24.38 passing percentage.
Moreover, 659 students appeared in the Pre-Medical Group, of them 347 passed with 52.66 passing percentage.
In the Pre Engineer Group, out of 1627 students, 846 passed the examination with the passing percentage of 52. In the General Science Group, 1,894 students appeared, out of them, 584 were declared pass.
According to results, as many as 1,183 students appeared in the Commerce Group, of them 315 were able to pass while in the Medical Technology Group, 14 out of total 34 students could pass the examination.
The girls’ pass percentage remained higher than boys in almost all the disciplines, except in the Pre Engineering Group, where boys pass percentage was 52 against the girls’ 49.
The examination controller in a statement issued here that results were available on the FBISE website and the candidates could also get their results through the SMS.
The controller said that students could also check their results by sending the SMS on 5050 (FB space roll no). The candidates can submit applications for rechecking of their papers within the next 30 days. This year, 06 cases of candidates using unfair means were reported, the controller said. The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education chairman has congratulated the successful candidates and position holders.
