Corruption defames country’s image: CJP

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that the menace of corruption has defamed the country.
He was talking to a 40-member delegation of students of Intermediate of Balochistan Residential College, Loralai, headed by Professor Kaleemullah, Mohammad Suleman and Abdul Manan that visited the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday.
The staff of the Supreme Court received and welcomed the group. They visited court building, courtrooms, ceremonial hall, auditorium and monument in front of the building.
They attended the court proceedings in the court of the chief justice. They also visited the Judges’ Library where they gave lectures on different topics related to law.
The chief justice, while welcoming the delegation, said that students are future of our country and they must work hard to serve it in future.
The chief justice also presented a shield to the teachers on behalf of the Supreme Court as a token of love, respect and gesture of goodwill.
Earlier, Supreme Court of Pakistan Registrar Dr Faqir Hussain welcomed the students on their visit to the Supreme Court.
