LAHORE – The father of a youth, Muhammad Imran, killed in Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s procession has demanded Punjab government to take action against his son’s murderers.
Addressing a press conference, Talib said his son was going to the factory for work when he fell victim to the aerial firing at Elahi’s procession; two bullets hit him in the head and he died on the spot. He said he was a poor man and the government should ensure justice.
Member National Assembly from PML-N Mian Javed Latif said Elahi was always accompanied by a ‘gang of terrorists, murders and dacoits’ while Elahi described them as party workers. He said kidnappings for ransom were also linked to the Nutt House Gujrat while the office of Muslim League-Q at Davis Road Lahore was also a hideout of proclaimed offenders.
He said dozens of armed men remain present on Elahi’s route and aerial fire on his arrival. He said if Elahi’s rally was searched, 90 percent proclaimed offenders will be found. He said if Nutt House Gujrat and Q-League offices were sealed, it will reduce the crime rate by 50 percent.
He said proclaimed offenders had taken refuge under the banner of a political party and the militant wing of Wajahat Force should also be disbanded on the pattern of other terrorist organizations. He said the Muhammad Imran’s parents had no connection with any political party and Imran was going to his factory when he was killed by the participants of Elahi’s reception.
