Member of the British House of Lords Lord Nazir Ahmed has vowed to raise the issue of Imran Farooq murder in the UK Parliament.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Lord Nazir said he would not capitulate to any pressure or threat to highlight the issue in the UK Lower House.
He claimed that a member of the Parliament had assured him of raising the issue of Imran Farooq murder on the floor.
Lord Nazir deplored the announcement by Azad Kashmir’s Prime Minister to abolish his citizenship, saying he (AJK PM) cannot terminate the citizenship of any person legally and constitutionally.
Moved on directives by the high-ups, the AJK’s Legislative Assembly members phoned him to stay away from Sindh’s former Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, he claimed.
Lord Nazir Ahmed said he will hand his phone log to the British police and consequently, the people involved in pressurizing him, may be put behind bars.
“I will raise the issue of Karachi terrorism at the House of Lords,” he added.

  1. Lord Nazir must be complemented for his decision to raise the issue of Imran Farooq in the UK parliament and the Karachi terrorism issue at the house of Lords. Well done.

  2. The investigation (the work of Police) is to be facilitated.

It is a criminal matter. Police and Criminal Evidence (PACE) Act is in Place. This is an ongoing investigation. If someone has any evidence he or she can bring it to the attention of the met Police.

A life was brutally taken away and the perpetrators and those who conspired to take a life should be brought to justice.
