In response to the unprecedented attack by NATO forces of the 26 Pakistani soldiers in Mohmand Agency on November 26, the Joint Action Committee, an alliance of Pakistani civil society organisations organised a candlelight vigil, on Tuesday. JAC members termed it an act of aggression and a violation of international human rights standards which neither served peace nor diplomatic relations. The protesters gathered in front of the Lahore Press Club, lit candles and prayed for the dead soldiers.
