Rangers DG submits Numaish attack report

Pakistan Rangers, Sindh Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Ijaz Chaudhry called on Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister’s House on Tuesday and presented a detailed report about the Numaish Chowrangi firing incident and the action taken by police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies personnel to control the situation. Unidentified assailants had shot dead two Shia security volunteers on Sunday evening – 1st Muharram. Terming the incident grievous, the chief minister stressed upon the law enforcement agencies to keep constant vigilance on criminals, miscreants and anti-social elements particularly during the month of Muharram. The Rangers provincial chief recommended a few suggestions to the chief minister regarding the law and order situation. Stressing upon the acute need for sectarian peace and religious harmony, Shah said that it is the prime responsibility of the administration and the law enforcers, particularly police, Rangers and the Frontier Constabulary, to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the province.
