JUI asks govt to stop military operation

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Khyber Agency demanded the government immediately stop the military operation in the agency and adopt the path of dialogue. They demanded the release all the innocent persons without bail who had been arrested during search operations and that the government rebuild destroyed houses and mosques in the region. Addressing a press conference on Monday, JUI Khyber Agency Deputy Chief Shams-ud-Din Afridi said that the military operation had compelled millions to leave their houses and become refugees.
He was flanked by Maulana Kabeer Afridi, JUI general secretary Waris Khan and Ghufran Ullah, He said the operation had deprived students of the right of education and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor should order admissions open to all educational institutions and free education be provided to tribal students. He further demanded of the government to announce equal relief packages to Bara affectees.
