Heavy fog disrupted road travel on Islamabad to Lahore Motorway, leading to the partial closure of its section from Thokhar Niaz Beg to Pindi Bhatian Interchange for traffic.
A motorway spokesman said visibility was down to zero.
He said Lahore-bound traffic from Islamabad was brought to Pindi Bhatian in the form of convoy to avoid any mishap.
On the other hand, fog started to hover over Peshawar-to-Islamabad motorway also since last evening.
Authorities closed a section of motorway for heavy vehicles due to thick fog.
Operations resumed as normal after visibility improved.
