A spokesperson of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) denied a news report which alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan met US Ambassador Cameron Munter in presence of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Ahmed Shuja Pasha, a private TV channel reported on Monday.
The report was published in The Sunday Times newspaper. Issuing the statement, the ISPR termed the news item totally baseless and concocted. Quoting unidentified sources, the report alleged that Imran was introduced to Munter in presence of the ISI director general, adding that the PTI chief is supported by the intelligence agency and the military.
In a recent interview, Imran Khan said that his agenda was to bring the army under him and make the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) report to him directly. He said that if he comes to power, he would be the boss of Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.
