The Government National Special Education Complex, the Vocational Training for Disabled Persons and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment for Disabled Persons will provide free-of-charge education to all disabled students of the city. Adviser to Chief Minister on Special Education Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh said on Friday.
During a visit to the Government National Special Education Complex, he ordered the complex’s principal to prepare a plan to turn it into model institute of the country.
“This plan will surely be approved by President Asif Ali Zardari, and it will be a gift for the disabled people in the city,” he said.
He was told that the Pakistan Baitul Mal has illegally occupied the hostel of the institute to which he responded saying that he will personally request the Pakistan Baitul Mal Chairman Zamrud Khan to take action.
When informed about the unwarranted presence of the police in the hostel of the institute, Shaikh promised to talk to the Sindh inspector general of police and the deputy inspector general of police about the matter.
