Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Punjab ameer Dr Waseem Akhtar said on Tuesday that Pakistan is facing problems due to corrupt policies by the government.
He said that thousands of industrial units have been closed down because of load shedding, which had made 400,000 labourers jobless in Faisalabad alone. Waseem said that the people were dying of hunger, adding that the corrupt politicians should bring their money from foreign banks to Pakistan and bring the country’s economy out of the current situation.
He said that the country cannot progress as long as those responsible for massive corruption in the institutions such as Railways, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Pakistan Steel Mills are not brought to the book.
