IGP orders stern security for Abdullah Shah Ghazi urs

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has directed the additional IGP of Karachi to ensure strict security on the occasion of `urs’ celebrations of the city’s patron saint, Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (RA). The urs would be organised from November 17 to 19 at the saint’s shrine in Clifton. The Sindh police chief directed the additional IGP to deploy additional contingent of police at the shrine, install walkthrough gates at its gate and have the area cleared by the the bomb disposal squad. He said SHOs should ensure snap-checking and patrolling in the surroundings of the shrine.
