At least 23 passengers declared dead and several others injured in a traffic accident on the National Highway near Thatha, a private TV channel reported.
The channel reported that at least 23 people were feared to have died in the accident which occurred when a passenger van and a bus collided on the National Highway. A senior Thatta official has put the death toll between 15 and 20 people.
The passenger van was heading for Karachi from Badin while the bus was moving towards Shah Aqiq from Karachi. The injured are being shifted to hospitals. The accident had caused a severe traffic jam on the busy National Highway, the channel reported.
