Pak-China joint military exercise starts from 16th

A Pakistan-China joint military exercise, aimed at sharing and enhancing expertise of both armies in countering terrorism, will begin from November 16 in Pakistan. The joint military exercise “Youvi – IV”, spread over two weeks, is aimed at mutual exchange of experience and information through a comprehensive training programme in real time. The joint exercise will encompass techniques and procedures involved in the Low Intensity Conflict (LIC) operations’ environment.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday, this joint interaction in the form of military exercise aims at sharing and enhancing expertise of both armies in countering terrorism. The exercise Youvi, which literally translates to “friendship”, started in 2004. Pakistan Army was the first foreign army to conduct any exercise on the Chinese soil. So far, three exercises have been conducted, including two in China and one in Pakistan.
