Rulers have brought economy on brink of collapse: Sherpao

Pakistan People’s Party-Sherpao Chairman Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao said the wrong policies of rulers have brought national institutions and the economy on the verge of collapse. Addressing a public gathering at Baghdada Mardan, Sherpao said almost all significant national assets were suffering losses and the corruption in Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Steel Mills and Pakistan International Airlines had left them ‘worthless.’
He said the government had preferred personal interests over national interests and misgoverned. He said the parliament had become a rubber stamp parliament which had no role to play. He said Pakhtuns had been deprived of their rights in the last 64 years and now so-called nationalists had failed to deliver.He spoke out against the Khyber Pakthunkhwa (KP) government for failing the mandate of the Pakhtuns.
He said indigenous problems should be solved through indigenous policies and a new Pakhtun leadership was needed. He said the PPP-S was the appropriate alternative for Pakhtuns.On this occasion, former Nazim Union Council Baghdada and Awami National Party (ANP) leader Al-Haj Humayun Khilji along with family and supporters joining the PPP-S.
