Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Mian Marghoob Ahmad said on Saturday that after a successful anti-government rally, people were waiting for the long march.
Addressing a reception given in honour of the organisers of the rally from his constituency, Marghoob said that the next long march will be greater than the one held in March, 2009, adding that itwould reach Islamabad and not return from Gujranwala. He said that the participation of a large number of people in the rally had proven that people have rejected the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led government that had turned an atomic country into a beggar.
He said that people would not accept the PPP government as it had compromised on the national interests by introducing a “so-called reconciliation with tanga parties” to gain its vested interests.
