Misbah’s double century of fours in Tests

Misbah-ul-Haq became the 30th Pakistani batsman to hit 200 or more fours in Test cricket. The first four off right arm fast bowler Dhammika Prasad during his 41-run knock on the third day of the second Test match against Sri Lanka at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday (October 28) was his 200th in the 48 innings of 28 Test matches.
The Pakistani skipper smashed 19 fours in five innings of as many Test matches at home while he hit 182 fours in 43 innings of 23 Test matches outside Pakistan.
n Tillakaratne Dilshan recorded his best bowling performance against Pakistan by taking three for 57. It was his third best bowling performance in Test cricket after four for 10 against Bangladesh at Chittagong in 2008-09 and three for 56 against India at Colombo in 2010-11. Tillakaratne Dilshan never took a wicket in 10 Test matches against Pakistan before this one.
n Asad Shafiq made his maiden half century against Sri Lanka in second innings by scoring 59 off 101 balls with four fours and one six. It was his third half century in 10 innings of seven Test matches. His previous highest against Sri Lanka was an unbeaten 26 off 94 balls with two fours in the first Test match of the series at Abu Dhabi.
n The right arm fast bowler Dhammika Prasad conceded over 100 runs in the first appearance against Pakistan in Tests. It was fifth time in 11 innings of seven Test matches when this bowler conceded over 100 runs in an innings.
n Pakistan recorded more than 400 runs in an innings against Sri Lanka on the 12th time in 39 Test matches by scoring 403. It was Pakistan’s third highest total on neutral venue after 594 in 184.5 overs at Dhaka in 1998-99 and 511 for six declared in 174.4 overs in the first Test match of the current series at Abu Dhabi.
