KWSB takes on its own, cuts power connection

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has cut off 160 power supply connections in the colonies of its employees on Saturday on the instructions of Board’s managing director, Misbahuddin Fareed. According to a press statement issued on Sunday, the KWSB is taking action against its employees living in the staff colonies and illegally distributing their electricity connections. It disconnected 78 connections in the Gharo Staff Colony, 26 in Dhabeji Staff Colony, 13 each in Hub Staff Colony and Pipri Staff Colony and 30 in the Purification Staff Colony. In the official statement, the KWSB MD said that employees found involved in illegal activities will be dealt with in a stern manner and would not be allowed to misuse the facilities provided to them by the water board.
