Amar Cables in Veterans Cricket semis

Amar Cables qualified for the semifinals of the second Amar Cables T20 Veteran Cricket League after beating Siddique Motors by 8 wickets at the Itifaq Cricket ground on Sunday. Batting first, Siddique Motors made 110 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Tahir Irshad (28), M khurram (20) and Zafar Iqbal (18) were the prominent scorers for Siddique Motors. Tariq Hussian and Jahangir Khan of Amar Cables grabbed three wickets each while Tariq Rasheed took two wickets for for 37 runs. Amar Cables achieved the target of 111 runs for the loss of two wickets. Dastiger Butt scored unbeaten 44 while Tauseef Mughal and Naseer Bhatti made 34* and 21 runs respectively. Afzal Butt and Khalid Masood took one wicket each. LCCA President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad was the chief guest and gave away the man of the match award to Tariq Hussian. Amer Ilyas Butt was also present on the occasion.
In the second match, SPM Bucks defeated Ch Sports by six wickets at the Ali Garh Cricket ground. Batting first, Ch Sports made 171 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Aziz Ahmed scored 42 runs while Abid Sheikh made 39 runs. Zahid Khan of SPM Bucks grabbed four wickets for 27 runs. In reply, SPM Bucks scored 172 runs for four wickets. Tariq Mehmood scored 94 runs while Qadeer Shah made 25 runs runs. Naseer Ahmed took one wicket for 25 runs. Tariq Mehmood was declared the man of the match award. In the last match, Lahore Whites beat Lahore Mohammedens by nine wickets. Lahore Mohammedens made 116 runs for eight wickets. Inzamam ul haq (39) and Rahut Abbas (33) were the prominent scorers. Muhammad Hafeez grabbed four wickets for 23 runs. Lahore Whites achieved the target of 117 runs for the loss of one wicket. Karamat Ali scored 53* while Salim Malik and Muhammad Hafeez made 30 and 28*. Wasi Abbas took one wicket for 14 runs. Muhammad Hafeez was declared the man of the match award.
