Libyan forensic doctors carried out an autopsy overnight on the body of Muammar Gaddafi, the former Libyan leader killed last week, one of the people involved in the autopsy told Reuters on Sunday.
“We worked all through the night. We just got done,” said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. He did not reveal any of the autopsy’s findings.
The autopsy was carried out at a morgue in the city of Misrata, about 200 km (130 miles) east of Tripoli. Local officials said Gaddafi’s body would now be brought back to the cold store at an old market in Misrata where it has been on public display.

  1. Recent departure of Qaddafi regime again proves that western countries don’t have permanent enemy or friend in politics except their own interest. Only months ago British Prime minister and his intelligence agencies were providing assistance to Qaddafi to how to deal upraising against him. Recent brutal killing of Libyan dictator Qaddafi add another worst chapter in NATO war crimes history. The United Nations and human rights groups called for a full investigation into the death of Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi and voiced concerns that he may have been executed a war crime under international law. Several countries, including Russia also raised questions over the manner in which the Qadhafi killed. One of Qaddafi son Mutassim was also captured alive and then killed in custody. Civilian population paid heavy price for recent conflict between Qaddafi force and NTC due to eights months fighting and street battles several cities suffered badly and deserted. Burning vehicles, charred bodies, wounded soldiers, miserable civilian population and remains of Qaddafi last convey telling us the brutalities of war which was fought under air cover of so called champions of human rights NATO.
