First round of the 14th Annual All Pakistan Inter Campuses University Debate Contest will begin in University of Education, Bank Road campus, on October 28. Teams from 10 campuses of the University will participate in the contest. The topic for the Urdu Debate is “Aazadi-e-Sahafat, Dawat-e-Musebat”, whereas the topic for the English debate is “Electronic media is a true source of knowledge”. Participants will have to argue, covering all angles of the topic, in three to four minutes. Division of Arts and Social Sciences Director Dr Mubasher Nadeem would be in charge of the event. University of Education Vice Chancellor Dr Faiz-ul-Hasan said this competition was a healthy event for students. He said such events not only stimulated intellectual growth, but also brought to the forefront their hidden potential and boosted their confidence.
