German language teachers’ training concludes at NUML

A three-day German language teachers’ training seminar which was arranged by German Language Department of National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, in collaboration with the German embassy concluded here on Thursday. The purpose of holding the seminar was to consolidate the long-lasting cooperation between NUML and the German Department and support the training of the German language teachers in Pakistan. The seminar was also addressed by two visiting German language teachers, Herman Roder, Head of the German Department at the federal office of Languages Bundessprachenamt (BSprA), and Ms Michaele Gehle, deputy head of the German Department, says a press release. The topics which were discussed at the three-day seminar included formal exchange of views concerning German language training, detailed briefing about the German Language Department at BsprA; Information on German language teaching and language testing at BSprA, need and importance of advanced training courses at the Bundessprachenamt for future Pakistani attendees of German courses.
Moreover, the visiting German trainers also considered the steps of improving coordination between NUML and BSprA. Addressing the concluding session, Herman Roder told the participants that he was very encouraged and motivated to see interest and motivation level of the language teachers at NUML and it convinced him that they should keep on holding such training sessions and seminars to the benefit of learners and trainers.
