PFF approves next year’s itinerary

LAHORE – The executive committee of the Pakistan Football Federation Monday discussed the performance of the national men’s and women’s teams in national and international events.
The meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of PFF President Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat at Football House, also discussed the 2011 calendar of event.
According to an official of the PFF, the activity calendar of 2011 was approved by the house and Faisal Saleh Hayat later informed that Korean Football Association had given US $ 400,000 for the goal projects in Pakistan and total contribution from FIFA and AFC have reached $ 300,000 and now the total goal projects in Pakistan will reach nine.
He said that the goal projects would be completed by March next year. The house appreciated the private channel’s contribution to the sport, performance of the teams in AFC U-14 Football Festival in Iran and SAF Women’s Football Championship in Bangladesh.
Pakistan team will visit Thailand as preparations for 2012 Olympics qualifying round. Pakistan will play against Malaysia and Palestine on home and away basis in February/March.
Pakistan team will visit Korea in August. PFF will organise the U-14 event in January. Faisal thanked the Australian High Commissioner for development of the game in Liyari and Gilgit. He also appreciated the efforts of marketing department of the PFF.
