Two Turkish soldiers died of their wounds in hospital in southeast Turkey after an attack by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), increasing the death toll to 26, local health officials said.
Sixteen other soldiers were injured in the attack and one of them has life-threathening wounds, sources said.
The attacks by PKK rebels on Turkish troops occurred in eight different locations in Cukurca and Yuksekova in Hakkari province near the Iraqi border, during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, local security sources said.
