LAHORE – SPM Stags, Gulberg Gymkhana and SPM Bucks won their matches in the Second Amar Cable Veterans Cricket Championship here the other day. SPM Stags beat Siddique Motors by 51 runs. SPM Stags made 157 for seven in 20 overs. Nasser scored 41 runs while Shakeel made 31 runs for SPM Stags. Tahir and Khurram took two wickets each. In reply, Siddique Motors were bowled out at 101 runs. Khurram of Siddique Motors scored 26 runs.
Amir Nazir grabbed three wickets for 18 runs while Shakeel and Zia ud Din took two wickets each. Shakeel Malik was declared the man of the match award. Gulberg Gymkhana defeated Lahore Mohammedens by 20 runs. Gulberg Gymkhana made 151 for six in 20 overs. Nadeem Butt scored unbeaten 64 runs while Ahsan Dawood scored 36 runs. Qadeer Khan of Lahore Mohammedens took two wickets for 27 runs. In reply, Lahore Mohammedens could manage 131 for six. Mohtesham Rasheed made 45 runs. Gulberg Gymkhana’s Naveed Sufi and Khaled Habib grabbed two wickets each. Nadeem Butt was awarded the man of the match.
In the last match, SPM Bucks beat Lahore Whites by 12 runs. SPM Bucks 170 for nine in 20 overs. Romail (39) and Ashfaq Aslam (37) were the prominent scorers for SPM Bucks. Shahid Hussian and Salim Malik of Lahore whites took two wickets each. In reply, Lahore whites could score 158 for eight. Nadeem Zafar scored 54 runs while Rauf Wain made 34 runs. Romail, Rehan and Qadeer of SPM Bucks grabbed two wickets each. Romail was declared the man of the match award.
