Committee to probe pilferage of medicines

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday constituted a five-member committee to investigate into the pilferage of medicines from government hospitals.
The committee will take legal action against people involved in such activities. The committee will also investigate into the cases of spurious drugs. A Punjab Health Department spokesman said that the committee will give its report after every three days to the CM’s Secretariat for information of the CM. PML-N Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Khawaja Salman Rafique will be the chairman of the committee while DIG Major (r) Mubasharullah, the special secretary health, director anti-corruption Lahore and the drug inspector Ravi Town will be members of the committee.
