The world famous wax museum Madame Tussauds has expressed its wish to include a statue of a Pakistani actor for the first time. The actor in question is none other than the legendary comedian late Moin Akhtar. With his unmatched skills, Moin Akhtar entertained the audiences for 44 long years.
Considering Akhtar’s extensive work in the field of arts, the museum has contacted his family in Pakistan and expressed interest in including his statue in the world renowned wax museum.
However, a local newspaper reported that Akhtar’s family has turned down the offer citing religious reasons.
The one of its kind museum is famous for displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, politicians, film stars, sports stars, and even famous murderers.

  1. He was a really great Comedian Actor ever in the history of Pakistan. His name will remain his memory update in the hearts of his lover.

May ALLAH forgive him & bless him place in Janna-Tul-Fardous.
Same Duwa is for All other muslims of this Universe who left this world.

    Ameen.

  2. It's a great news!
He lives in our heart & always will remain…
The greatest actor of all times, I'm thankful to the management of Madam Tussuads.

  3. an honour. But I hope the headline 'Moin Akhtar to be waxed…' was actually intended to be a joke, otherwise one has visions of Akhtar being waxed and threaded…!!

  4. He would never have wanted such a statue of his. These westerners try to be oversympathetic for our culture even when our culture and traditions are more valuable and stronger than theirs.

    • Its not about sympathy. Its about knowing what will bring more people into their museum. More Pakistani people will come to MTs if they know that there is a statue of a Pakistani icon at MTs. Its simple business sense in a country that has a substantial pakistani population. 🙂

  5. It is an honor for Pakistan, and truly its an honor for the people of pakistan that a legend's from pakistan is selected for the museum

  6. @Sajjad Jafri: he is going to be the first Pakistani in Madame Tassauds. I've seen Gandhi, Amitab, Ashwriya, Salman, Shahrukh Khan waxed statues over there and surprisingly they dont have a statue of Muhammad Ali Jinnah though there is a famous street on his name where he used to sit and study

  7. From what I have heard his family has turned down the offer citing religious reasons.

Making statues in Islam is forbidden

  8. He deserves it, was one of the last living versatile legends of Pakistan. The man who was simply matchless in skills, possessed the highest level of acting flair, decency, second to none when it came to answer-witting, gave his guests a hard time as a host, and above all a good natured Muslim who was never involved in any scandals.

Had he had been in any India he would have been worshipped

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

  9. i dont know what the big deal is…i've been there, its over prices, pathetic, sub-standard and a total waste of time and money

  10. I think its a good decision from his family not to put statue in wax museum because moin akhtar dont need this kind of popularity after death except Jannat. HE will remain always alive in our hearts. After death the soul only needs prayers rather than fame which we always give for HIM. May Allah rest his soul in Peace.Ameen

  11. It's NOT TRUE!!
Can you at least check the facts before you report?? and even if you make such a mistake, can you please REMOVE the INCORRECT story? It has been two months for crying out loud!

  12. YES, MOIN AKHTAR RIGHTLY DESERVES A PLACE AT MADAM TUSSAUDS. IT WILL BE A GREAT HONOUR TO OUR BELOVED COUNTRY, PAKISTAN
