All the daily wage and contractual employees of the National Highway Authority have been regularised, said press release issued here on Wednesday. It quoted Federal Minister Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil as saying that the PPP had fulfilled another promise. The minister stated this while attending a meeting with the NHA employees. He said no government employee would be sacked as long as the PPP was in power.
“The PPP has always been known for providing jobs to people whenever it came to power. The entire world knows that we are taking revolutionary steps to materialise the dream of providing food, clothing and shelter to the people as envisaged by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto,” Khalil added. NHA Chairman Syed Muhammad Ali Gardezi was also present on the occasion.
