Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has left for Zurich, Switzerland to attend a seminar on the “FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS)” being held today and the FIFA Disciplinary Committee meeting on October 13 at the Home of Football, Zurich.
The main focus of the TMS seminar will be to acquit all members of FIFA disciplinary committee about the legal aspects of the transfer system introduced by FIFA in 2008.
Faisal will also have an opportunity to meet all the top officials of the FIFA including FIFA President Jospeh Sepp Blatter, where in he will discuss ways and means of promoting football in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that the TMS is an online system that makes international transfers of football players between clubs quicker, smoother and more transparent. Introduced in February 2008 with a test phase, the system is now used for all international football transfers in all 208 FIFA member associations and by over 4600 clubs worldwide.
The transfer details required in TMS include identification information on the player to be transferred, club details, all payments (including the amount, timing and bank details). All the details provided must also be backed up by evidence such as uploaded copies of the player’s identification documents, his new employment contract and the transfer contract between his former and future clubs. The system also helps to reduce instances of underage players being transferred internationally. The protection of minors is a priority for the FIFA and will be a focus of future compliance activities.
