The Pakistan Hockey Federation on Monday announced the national line-up for the Australia tour and former captain Zeeshan Ashraf failed to get a place in the final team. The trials to select the final lineup of Pakistan hockey team for participation in 4-Nation Hockey Tournament and International Super Hockey Series – Perth/Australia from Oct 20 to Nov 4 – were held at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium Islamabad. After approval of President PHF, Mr. Abdul Hanif Khan, Chairman national selection committee announced following 19 members for the national hockey team:-
Players:
Goalkeeper: Imran Shah.
Full-backs: Muhamamd Imran, Sohail Abbas & Muhammad Irfan Senior
Half-backs: Syed Kashif Shah, Muhammad Rizwan Junior, Muhammad Tousiq, Waseem Ahmed, Rashid Mehmood & Fareed Ahmed.
Forwards: Abdul Haseem Khan, Shakeel Abbasi (Capt), Shafqat Rasool, Muhammad Waqas, Muhammad Rizwan Senior, Ali Shan, Muhammad Zubair, Muhammad Umar Bhutta and Muhammad Irfan Junior.
