Jamali lauds Turkey’s support in education sector

Senate Deputy Chairman Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali on Saturday lauded the Turkish government’s support in education and other sectors, particularly the role played by Pak-Turk international schools and colleges for education and its initiatives for betterment of the young generation in Pakistan.
He expressed these views while talking to a four-member parliamentary delegation led by Ahmet Oksuzkaya at Parliament House, said a press release.
Jamali expressed his satisfaction over bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Turkey and said the linkages between the two countries at different levels needed to be further enhanced for mutual benefit.
He said both the countries shared commonality of views on various issues and had always supported each other at international fora.
Jamali underscored the need for closer cooperation between the two countries, while particularly focusing on trade, investment and agriculture.
“We share common culture, history and traditions and bond of friendship between the two has a historical background.”
The leader of the Turkish delegation said the two sides must work on further enhancing bilateral cooperation through exchange of delegations at parliamentary, business, trade and other levels.
The delegation also visited Senate and National Assembly halls. They were briefed about the working and performance of both the houses of the Parliament and the role played by them in policy-making and accountability of the government.
