Muhammad Saim Mumtaz from Commecs Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences bearing roll number 217308 got the third position with 925 marks and 84.09 percent. Talking to journalists, Aziz was of the view that there should be a uniform education system throughout the country, as it would help in addressing the class difference issue. “I did not take any tuition and usually studied for five to six hours on regular basis,” she added. Replying to a question, she claimed that female students are better than their male counterparts at solving questions. “This is the reason why [girls] secure positions in annual exams.” Zubair – who has already enrolled in a Chartered Accountancy programme – said that rote-learning is not a long-lasting technique for studying. “The students should try to develop a habit of learning.” Mumtaz told the media that he had completed his O-Level and enrolled with BIEK Science Faculty but later shifted to the Commerce Faculty. “We must focus on becoming an educated person rather than studying only to get high marks, reputation or grades,” he said. “Social issues like division on ethnic and community bases in the society are major issues and should be addressed on priority basis.” In the Home Economics Part-I results, 290 students were registered and 266 candidates appeared in the exams of which 126 students passed all the seven papers. Twenty-two candidates had registered for Diploma in Physical Education and 17 were declared successful with the overall pass percentage of 77.27 percent.
