The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday demanded an explanation from the federal government, PEPCO and LESCO over long hours of unscheduled load shedding that has crippled life all across the country.
The court was hearing two petitions filed regarding ongoing energy crises in the country.
The court adjourned hearing of the first case till October 7 demanding an explanation from the federal government, PEPCO and LESCO. It was requested in the petition that the hospitals should be immune from loadshedding until dengue outbreak controlled.
Justice Azmat Saeed adjourned the hearing of second case till October 11, which was seeking schools and offices also to be immune from loadshedding along with the hospitals.
