Weapons found buried in Malir playground near office of political party

The Pakistan Rangers-Sindh conducted an operation in Malir on Monday and recovered heavy weapons buried in a playground near the office of a political party. Sources told Pakistan Today that on a tip-off, Rangers personnel cordoned off the area adjacent to the KBR Ground and started digging there. A large number of heavy sophisticated weapons were found buried in the playground including two G-3 rifles, seven Kalashnikovs, two TT pistols and six TT pistols.
Separately, the Rangers spokesman said that they conducted surgical operations in many areas of the city including Jinnah Square, Muslimabad, Sherpao Colony, Qasba Colony, Aligarh Colony, Banaras, Pakistan Bazaar, Gulshan-e-Jamal, Natha Khan Goth, Falak Naz Tower, Salar Compound, Ahsanabad, Mehmoodabad, New Karachi Sector-5, Bihar Colony and Dawood Goth. The Rangers arrested 39 suspects in these operations. However, 17 of them were released after interrogation. A large number of weapons were also recovered from many of the arrested suspects.
