Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-204 suffered a serious bird hit during landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday. The Dubai to Lahore bound flight was scheduled to leave for Karachi at six in the evening, but the accident resulted in a delay of over five hours. According to the PIA spokesperson, either a bird hit engine number 2, or, was ingested by the engine.
However, all passengers and crew members remained safe. The incident delayed the departure of PIA flight PK-305 from Lahore to Karachi. He said after necessary inspections of the aircraft and its engines, the aircraft is expected to depart as flight PK-305 to Karachi from Lahore around at 1100 pm.
