Former president Pervez Musharraf suggested that his country allows the Haqqani network to operate on its soil to stop India from creating an ‘anti-Pakistan Afghanistan’. “If I was in government I would certainly be thinking of how best to defend Pakistan’s interests,” Musharraf said.
“Certainly if Afghanistan is being used by India to create an anti-Pakistan Afghanistan, we would like to prevent that,” he added. He said further that the US must understand that Pakistan had its own national interest. “When the coalition talks of leaving in 2014, Pakistan has to really think, what will be the environment and defend itself against all the exterior pressures”, Musharraf said.
The former president also asserted that Pakistan must “talk straight” about “why are they not acting against the Haqqani network in North Waziristan.”
This big loudmouth jerk can't resist the temptation of being in the news no matter how big bafoon he looks. So you admit supporting Haqqanis ? Then own it coward !!!! Before you talk of knowing how to protect interests of Pakistan, first go to your dear Pakistan and face court charges.. Maybe you meet the fate of either Zulfikar Bhutto or Benazir Bhutto.. Each of your move against India has backfired on you.. you have devastated a reasonably good country called Pakistan in your hate campaign against India. Keep trying and keep suffering.
You should not even publish the comments of a disgraced leader who also happens to be a compulsive liar. This shows that they(haqqani group) was active on his watch, and that the state of Pakistan supports terrorism.
