The management of crises-ridden Pakistan Railways seems disinterested in spraying its headquarters for dengue and drying out stagnated water. Pakistan Today pointed out poor cleanliness conditions in PR Headquarters two days ago and DG Rizwanul Haque Hashmi had assured a prompt action in this regard, however the situation has not changed. Dirty water, stagnated in the fountain and water ponds at the headquarters, is proving to be a breeding ground for mosquitoes, while the authorities have not yet taken action in this regard. The railway employees showed concern over the apathy of high-ups to save the employees, visitors and residents of nearby localities from dengue. The railway employees said no anti-dengue measure had been taken at the headquarters. Railways security guards deployed at the two gates have been exposed directly to the mosquitoes breeding in the fountain and ponds adjacent to the headquarters gate.
