Defence Minister Ch Ahmed Mukhtar announced an improved financial package for Airports Security Forces Pakistan by raising their salaries and allowances in accordance with income packages of Pakistan Highways and Motorways Police with effect from October 1.
Mukhtar said, “the present government credits to take this step despite its economic hardships.” He thanked President Asif Ali Zardari, Ministry of Defence Secretary Lt Gen (Retd) Syed Athar and Finance Ministry for achieving the milestone. The defence minister was visiting ASF headquarter made this announcement addressing ASF officials.

It is quite unfortunate that finance division is not issuing notification in this regard
Moreover It was announced that deputy assistant directors will be promoted in grade 17 but establishment division is not issuing notification which is again very disappointing
FIA's salaries were increased several times by the rehman malik but only in papers and not in reality. ch. ahmad mukhtar is also following him
