Too harsh?

In a period of one decade, the US attitude towards Pakistan has grown harsher and harsher over time. Whenever Pakistan refuses to surrender before “unrealistic demands,” then US authorities become angry and start issuing hard-hitting and threatening statements against Pakistan. Such statements are inevitably followed by news items pertaining to speculations about the White House’s halting of economic and financial aid to Pakistan.
Soon after its landing in Afghanistan, the US has used Pakistan to achieve its ends, even if it meant employing Pakistan as a scapegoat. For such a purpose, Pakistan was blamed of hosting Al-Qaeda fugitives. In a similar vein, the US is making the Haqqani Network a pretext for pressurising Pakistan. Not only that, it might use that as ground for the continuation of the war in Afghanistan. For such purposes, Pakistan is being charged of extending help and assistance to Haqqani network.
The US Joint Chief of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen had been levelling allegations against Pakistan and issuing threatening statements almost on a daily basis for the past few days. The US wants to wrap up the war in Afghanistan but still wants to find some excuse for still having a military footprint in the region and country. It is also desirous of similar actions in Pakistan and is using the Haqqani Network as a justification for the purpose like Al-Qaeda was made for Afghanistan.
No one can deny the sufferings of Pakistan in ongoing war on terror. The US needs to keep in mind such sacrifices of Pakistan and be more circumspect while levelling allegations. If the US is sincere in combating trends of terrorism and militancy, it must trust Pakistan. Daily Wahdat

  1. The US must Trust Pakistan ? Is that a joke? OBL is not laughing.
I have a better idea, you say there are no Haqqanis in Pakistan. Fine. When we kill them you will have nothing to complain about.
